Well I am not going to lie, it is hard for me to see my sweet little baby, Mr. C, turn one! He has been the sweetest little guy and an added joy to our family. Time has flown and now I look back and shake my head...he is growing and I miss my "little!" It was one year ago tomorrow my OB called me at 6:00 a.m. to tell me he had to induce me that morning or he wouldn't be in town for my delivery. He had had a death in his family and he was flying out for a week or so. So within 45 minutes all had been called, bags hurriedly packed, and Jay had been called as he was on his way to his Psych class early early in the morning and made his way back from Boise to Meridian. It was cold and slick and as I spun out of our subdivision and accident after accident on the way the hospital, I kept thinking isn't there a better day! Now I look back and I feel that there was no better day, no better time, no better circumstance to welcome our sweet bundle!
Here are some of my favorite pictures of my little bug. It was such a nice time to have a baby, the Holiday Season. It was so special to bring him home to a Christmas decorated house. What a special time! Throughout this special time a song by Amy Grant always kept going over and over in my head, Breath of Heaven. Mr. C we love you and thanks for choosing us!

My baby, Mr C., is one tomorrow!

3 Times a Charm...I have been tagged...again...
A Pox on the House of Viva La Vida for the curse of the tag!
- I can dream big (That one is for my dad).
- I can think of every way a criminal could enter my house and still sleep at night (that one is for Bro Jake).
- I can shop, facebook, and blog all at the same time and not get mixed up and all without accidently posting my CC# on the blog or facebook!
- I can park our rather large Yukon on a dime, you should see me in a spud truck, I am like a pro!
- I can take a look at a house and tell you exactly what it is missing decor wise that is.
- I can tell you about moisture in corn, soybean, and wheat and whether Cargill will accept it...thanks hubby.
- I can change a babies diaper in under 5 seconds before he gets the chills and hoses me down...even on the phone!
Seven Things I Cannot Do...
- I cannot proof read, I think I get so excited about the content of my imagination and trying to get it down on paper or screen or blog I struggle because my hubby will go back a proof it for me and find errors and I sound like a nerd! So embarrassing as you may have noticed on my blog!
- I cannot hide emotion, my hubby knows whenever something is wrong just by looking at me and I am not a good fake.
- I cannot keep secrets, yes I absolutely love hearing them and I know that makes me sound like a busy body but I have to tell someone...which is usually hubby and he NEVER tells secrets. He would be an excellent top secret government worker not even Chinese water torture could get him to tell the secret!! So your secret is safe it us.
- I cannot figure out new technology. Now I know how my parents feel. I just figured out my ring tones for my new cellphone the other day and I have had it 6+ months. My new camera...still don't know all the bells and whistles hubby got me on that thing! : (
- I cannot take bad news very good, I have to find the silver lining and figure out the good about it... I feel especially worse when it is out of my control, especially anything dealing with my kids or any kids for the matter.
- I cannot figure out how to turn of my perfectionist button
- I cannot be rude to someone who has been rude to me super fast and IF I ever did I would guilt trip myself all night long! You know those people that have those fabulous one liners that put people back in their spot...boom you've got it...I stammer and even hubby says I sound silly and need more practice.
Seven Things that Attracted me to Hubby...
- His dashing good looks. He is HOT! (Yes I am just that shallow)
- His sweetness.
- He was refreshing after so many dead-beats!
- He was my best friend.
- His commitment to being a good Latter-day Saint.
- How he respected and loved his mother, I knew any man who loves and takes care of his mom is a good man to women and will do so to me.
- His calming spirit that softly reassures my spirit and adds a stability in me that I crave.
- He makes me laugh especially when I need a good laugh.
- He stands by me and supports me ALWAYS!
- He puts me first and I know even at a glance where I stand with him.
- He treats my parents with respect.
- When we dance or he holds me I feel a sense of peace and protection!
- Oops that more than seven but he loves it when I get carried away!
Seven Things I Say Most Often...
- No!
- Oh my heck!
- No!
- That's Yuck! (I have to say that to Mr. C on a constant basis since his little stint in the hospital didn't teach him a thing about putting things in his mouth).
- No you cannot buy anything!
- Quiet voice, lets use our quiet voice!
- No!
Seven Celebrity Admiration's...
- This is the honest to gosh truth but I do not admire any celebrity...I pity them. Their lives are full of delusion's and they lack direction, guidance, and I think they are all an over paid soapbox for things they know nothing about with all their little charities that they can all feel so good that they support and set up so they can sleep in their 50 Mill mansions at night. I cannot think of any one that I would want to pattern my life after even an ounce...
Seven Favorite Foods
- I love Mango Salsa from Costco!!!!
- Grandma's and Dad's fudge Yummmmm!!!
- Any new salad my sister Kristie has discovered through her wonderful talents!
- Dad's dutch oven.
- Seafood, especially on Martha's Vineyard!!! I had the best lobster there thanks to Amy!!!
- Mr. C's baby crunchies, they are only 3 grams of fat and they taste like Cheetos!
- PF Changs and Olive Garden any day of the week!
Seven People I Tag
- Katie (JaLae got you and so do I so you will do it this time)!!
- Jamie
- Brittney
- Kimri
- Rebecca
- Leanna
- Amy
Have fun with this one!!!

It has been a while...
Dad and J at the new house site!
Hubby and my dad talking shop at hubby's work. Yes dad HAD to wear the green hard hat, even if he didn't want to.
Even though harvest for dad was over he couldn't resist trying to get trucks moving faster and getting nervous about the long lines. I think he was really itching to start yelling at people to get moving but he withheld (but I could tell it was killing him).
Baby it's cold outside!
You can tell Mr. C feels like he is the kid off the Christmas Story in all the layers!

J out looking for his lost article of clothing in the needle in the haystack game. He found his fast but loved playing in the hay.
J was bundled and ready to play!
My mission comp and her daughter on the hayride!

J on the hayride, he loved it!
Third, we have a winner on the contest on our new blog! Check it out: http://grandmasanderskitchentable.blogspot.com/

Privacy is the issue...
So my husband loves to read our blog and loves all your sweet and fun comments. HOWEVER last night he brought up a concern he has about my blog and privacy. Although I have taken some minor privacy steps he is worried that still just anyone can look at our blog. This doesn't mean friends and family who stumble onto us and look and leave without commenting but he means people with bad intentions. Lets be honest the world is fun of some real sick people with time on their hands. So we are thinking about going private...just like our house blog. Just an thought we are tossing around. I know my brother Jake is reading this and is shaking his heading saying "there she goes again being an afraidy cat," but I never want to be in the middle of a nightmare and find it could have been prevented. So we would love to hear your opinions via the comments or our e-mail. We wouldn't close the blog we would just add the sign in measure and only those who have been invited could see our blog. Something that I am currently torn on...
What do you think go private or all is well???

Tagged Again...
Well I guess if you tag someone you had better be prepared to get tagged back.... Thanks JaLae for passing the curse on! ; )
4 Songs I loved as a child that I still adore...
1. Some Day My Prince Will Come (obviously he came but I still like it)
2. Tonight She Comes (by the good ole Cars)
3. I think We are Alone Now (Yep, Tiffany)
4. From a Distance (Bette Midler, Ok my siblings use to get so mad at me because I played it over and over again!)
4 Friends I had as a child that I still keep in touch with...
(OK let me preface this with a note that I assumed earliest childhood friends so elementary school is where I began, I feel I have had so many wonderful people grace my life I started with the very first, this is my pre-Terreton Jr High days. Also I am not disclosing last names for their privacy.)
1. Maelie M (I just loved her name and we both loved Barbies and after family moved we wrote letters she was my little girly VVBFF)
2. Jamie D (She has always been such a true blue friend and we have been through a lot together, always supporting each other even when our lives went separate directions.
3. Herman C (I am so proud of him, he has beat all odds and I will always remember him standing up to me to be nicer to others in elementary school when no one else would).
4. Cade J (Maelie was going to marry Cade and he lived next door to Maelie so naturally we all played beside Cade has always been the nicest person to everyone all the time).
This is my 6th Birthday Party! My whole class was invited but you can see Maelie behind me and behind her is Jamie. Herman is below Jamie in the coat laying across the table. Cade is the only person cut out of the photo...you can see his maroon colored shirt on the right hand side. We all knew each other well because we grew up in a small town and that is the best way to grow up!
1. This one is hard....I was stubborn and I would fight with my 4th grade teacher and Principal, Mr. Williams.
2. I was very arrogant, I wish I had been kinder to all.
3. I loved to play and be social but hated homework.
4. I remember being not the kindest person and although I said sorry to some I wish I wouldn't have been so "cliquie" and loved all.
4 Strengths I had as a child...
1. I knew I was loved. Some may have called it spoiled, oh well!
2. I came from a home that had a mom and a dad that supported me and loved me and made my dreams happen.
3. I was taught how to work (of course never to the level my siblings seem to remember : ) ).
4. I knew how to negotiate with my teacher...I could buffalo them easily....maybe that was a weakness too.
4 People I want to answer these questions....
( I am going to try to pick different people than the last tag)
1. I know that she has very little time but I would love to hear from Kristie...
2. Kimri
3. Mandy
4. Dani
Have fun Ladies! It is pretty funny to go down memory lane!

Blog Identity Crisis!
OK so I just loved the many cute Halloween blog backgrounds that I have found and it was so easy to settle on the one that fit my blog. (luckily I have three blogs to decorate because it was hard to decide). However I am having real issues about the backgrounds for Thanksgiving...so if I change once a day until I find the right one or if I just finally scrap it and go to Christmas just be patient. I think this would be called a "Blog Identity Crisis!" Also everywhere I go I find people have the cutest, well positioned pictures a the top of the blogs. Well I need help...for the life of me I can't figure out how to get my picture to fit the black out lines up top and some of you have the cutest background behind yours...Umm...I NEED HELP!!! So calling all computer savvy or blog savvy people I need your creative help while my blog goes through its identity crisis.
If you don't want to help via blog you can e-mail me at holly2300@yahoo.com.
Step by step instructions would be fabulous!
