What would you do for a little sleep??

For 3 days we fought a little "stink bug" determined to stay up and party until late late! Mr. C had long ago figured out how to climb out of his crib but never pushed the issue. However Saturday night he started in with getting out and trying to stay up and be with mom and dad. We would take him back and out he would come again. This repeated each night and at nap time as well for 3 days and we were all losing sleep and our patience was wearing really thin. Finally my husband said one night after a 3 and a half hour stand off..."what if you got out your sewing machine and sewed his PJ sleeper legs together so he could not lift them up to hoist himself out of the crib. BRILLIANT idea! Just brilliant! So that is what we did and below is the finished product! VICTORY!!! We are now getting sleep again! (sigh-sigh)

It just goes to show that desperate time DO call for desperate measures!

Brace Yourselves...I am posting and its really really long!

Yes, it really has been a while and yes we have been so very busy. I am taking a short breather to post what we have been up to this past month. I really should be outside weeding but my mom says that the grandparents really need to see an update!
To all those faithful followers thanks for checking my lack luster blog for an update and thanks for all those that comment. I sometimes wonder if it really is worth taking time out of my day (it usually take an hour) to post something since time has been such an issue at our house lately...never enough of it!

We went to the "Land of Milk and Honey" for Easter and Conference weekend. It was so good to see family and participate in the Easter fun in the "Land of Milk and Honey."

Yes, the Easter Bunny found the boys while at my parents house. However it looks like Christmas instead of Easter...the bunny got a little carried away!

Granny and Pop had an Easter Hunt after Conference. Yes, we left 80 degrees to go to Idaho put our coats back on. After a winter like ours it was quite an insult to injury! ; )
Who could care though about the weather when it really was such a fun and enjoyable time.

Wonder what happens on a Wednesday night with nothing to do in the "Land of Milk and Honey?" We "let our hair down" or should I say up??? My nephew always asks me to do a mohawk which is quite fun but this time all the guys wanted one too.

My dad helped bring this hunt to the "Land of Milk and Honey," and now my kids are a part of it! Dad told all the parents they had to stay off and not help their kids but that didn't stop him giving Mr. C the upper hand it getting candy! The Gap Cowboy and Peyts got to join in the big kid hunt now they are big Kindergartners!

While in the "Land of Milk and Honey" Pop gained a shadow. This picture was taken when we were leaving and Mr. C would not leave. He told us "No" every time we said lets go. Then on the way home he kept saying "Papa bye-bye..NO NO!" He was so mad we took him away from Pop.

Soccer Has Started
And so it begins! It is that time again, Soccer Season! I am so proud of the "Cowboy!" He has had two games and he is a great athlete! He gets in there and goes at it hard. He has really impressed us! He has made a total of 3 goals in two games and they were hard fought goals because each team has great talent, the teams are evenly matched as far as talent. It even made me smile when he yells at his teammates to pass the ball or he begs his coach to stay in even though he has to take a turn.

Spring is here!

Planting season is upon us!!! Yay! Our winter was sooooo horrid and our spring has been so wonderful! We have been planting and readying our garden and it has been so nice. I know it is early for a garden but I have planted the items that take a while...like pumpkins or strawberries and rhubarb! It has been such a joy to finally be outside. We had such the cabin fever after literally being trapped inside by snow drifts up to our house! Above are my pots I did for the step, I couldn't not resist the Gerber Daisy! They were so bright and springy! I love looking at them!

Tomatoes! For hubby, he loves fresh cherry tomatoes. Can't plant those too earlier for him!

My tulips are up! AND so are the weeds. I have have started weeding but I need to do so much more....I only have two hands and a two year old! ; )
