Ice Cream at 5 Months!

Dad got caught in the act of giving Carson some ice cream. Carson loved it of course but if he gets a tummy ache his dad will be taking care of him today! His dad knows this is not the usual baby food but he felt bad eating in front of Carson and Carson looked like he wanted it.

Playtime With Carsie Bug

Jayson has been so excited to have a brother, he is always right there ready to play and help. Carson is getting to the point where he loves to have playtime. He works really hard with his hands and can do a lot of grabbing and even reaching for things. It is so fun for Jayson to help him, he just loves to be included in helping Carson learn and figure things out. He always cheers on his brother. They already make a pretty good team. I know they have one thing in common, they both have dad wrapped around their little fingers.

Soccer Soccer Soccer

Jayson had a game today and it was COLD! Poor Carson and I were huddled by a building while Jay went to help the coach with Jayson and another boy (who made Jayson look like a saint). We even had snow flurries during the game.
Also I had a hard time with timing on taking pictures every time he would make a play the camera wasn't ready. Then when he was standing around goofing off I was ready with camera in hand then I would just take a picture to take it. All in all we are all having fun and at least he is getting great exercise.

My Little Boy is Growing Up!

Carson was just a little snuggle bug infant just a couple of months ago! Now he is growing so fast and is this sweet little smiling/laughing boy! Today was his first taste of rice cereal and he is just like his big brother Jayson, he hated it. He did make me laugh and I will keep trying because it is hard to tell if it was just the concept and new texture or if it was just plain gross tasting to him. Well if it is a taste thing I have Jay to thank for that, he has passed his flare for food to Jayson so if we have another picky eater the head cook is retiring her apron!

Spring is Here!

Well we are off to the spring time soccer games! Jayson did fabulous and made one goal on his first game! He also made the whole crowd laugh when a kid came up to steal the ball he ROARED at the culprit. He is not afraid to get in the middle and go after the ball. It is a lot of fun watching and laughing. We have had pretty good weather and Carson has also been able to get outside with us and get his first glimpse of the outside life. He not a fan yet but I do predict he will soon be just like his older
brother and it will be hard to keep him in.

No Joke!

Given the date that I am posting this, it is no April Fools joke. Jay didn't get the job with Cargill. We actually thought it was a April Fools joke on us but it turned out to be true, since we first received word via a generic e-mail. We felt really good about it and he did the best he could, and Jay has zero regrets. We know from experience that if we are meant to get something it happens and if we are not it was not meant to be. No worries we have already sent out two resumes tonight. We have no need for a new job, we (probably more like me) would love more money with the economy the way it is!
