Scissors

Out of all my great household luxuries I miss, I miss my scissors. I know that sounds funny but throughout the day I say to myself I wish I had my scissors or I need a pair of scissors. I really didn't realize out of all my amazing modern conveniences I had stashed in our home at Nampa, I miss my scissors and need them. Yes, a very random thought but it is funny how mom and dad always did the family home evening lesson where we had to list the items we would take from the house in the event of emergencies or something. Other then pictures, some clothes, food and money, next time I will grab my scissors too.

We also really miss family and friends. It is too bad that we couldn't just pack you all up and move you here too, except you wouldn't have to go to the Allied Moving storage like my poor scissors. We have been blessed and the days are passing and not dragging on. We have had plenty to do and we are finalizing all the details and will unveil our house plans here hopefully very shortly. You will all have to check the blog here in a few days, possibly a week, for the big news (if all goes well).

Jayson has met so many fun friends and I have been meeting a lot of people too. Jay is doing so well on his job and his crew really likes him. Our cup runs over with blessings! Our Branch is really quite small and is a lot of fun! We all had to talk our first Sunday and they all just love us! We feel so appreciated and they really really are so excited to see us every Sunday. We have a lot of missionary work ahead of us and already I think people can tell the difference in us. I really wish we had the proper items so I could attach pictures I have so many things I want to show you all. We really feel every day is a great adventure and it really is. From soaking up the sun at the park to going to Mount Rushmore for the 4th we really are having fun experiences each day. Yes, I said we are going to Mount Rushmore for the 4th, other than Staten Island and Washington DC I don't think we could find a more patriotic place to see the fireworks. I am really hoping for a breath-taking patriotic display. I don't know who is more excited Jayson or me.

Don't worry, I am sure it will not be greater than the Hamer display, word has it that Jake and Bruv are back on for the fireworks. It is good that we will be at Mt Rushmore so I don't think all day long that I am missing the best dutch oven cooking this side of the Mississippi and the cutest hometown parade that Jayson has won two year in row for the cutie pie award and the best firework display, now that Jake and Bruv are doing it again.
