Home Sweet Hotel...

Well we are here in Nebraska! Jayson and Carson did really well flying, Jayson said that the landing and taking off tickled his tummy but that it was the best trip ever! We really have been so blessed have gotten here without issue, I was so very worried about a very ambitious 4 year old. Lots of pleading in prayer could only have been the reason for such wonderful behavior in confined spaces. I would have loved to post the pictures from the airplane BUT I forgot the cords to my camera and the laptop from Jay's work doesn't have a camera card slot like mom and dad's.
Today I got a cell phone, arranged the hotel, took Jayson to the new "Tractor store", and got a library card and signed Jayson up for the summer reading program. I also got a call from a lady that is in our Branch here in O'Neill. The Branch President announced our coming and she was so excited to meet us. She is an older widow and she wanted me to feel welcome. She has already invited us to the park and she has grandkids! Jayson will really love playing with other kids!
Jay is back at work and very very busy but he is so relieved that we are doing good and keeping busy. We drove around tonight considering our options for a home, buying verses building. So no updates on the home issue, and it will be home sweet hotel for a bit.

I'm glad you made it to Nebraska alright. I wish you were still here, too. You will be much more adjusted when you have your own home instead of a hotel to live in. But...good luck with the house hunting. We miss you.

Hello,

I am originally from O'Neill and would be glad to help you with any questions you might have about the town. I now live in Iowa but lived in O'Neill until I was 38. I have a sister, brother and niece who still live there.

If you are in the market to buy a home, I would think you will be pleasantly surprised at what the dollar will buy in O'Neill as compared to other places in the country. The cost of living is also lower in O'Neill.

Norfolk is the closest town with a shopping mall, as you may already know. It is 75 miles east.

Le me know if I can help in any way.

Holly - I have a great solution....there is a home for sale across the street from us. It isn't Nebraska but....don't forget that Utah isn't that bad! Just kidding, we miss you but wish you loads and loads of success and happiness in your new location. As always, you are in our thoughts and prayers.

I hope they have a pool!! My boys would think that was AWESOME to live in a hotel with a pool!
I bet it is nice to finally be there and to be moving forward in your new adventures!
